Yes, it does! All Surface Pro 5 models come with a Windows Hello Infrared (IR) camera to enable Windows Hello Face Authentication (Face ID) on Windows 10. It allows you to sign in to your account faster, easier, and more secure with your face.
No, it doesn’t! Microsoft Surface Pro 5 comes with Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Controller. The adapter supports only the current Wi-Fi 5 (also known as IEEE 802.11ac standard) technology that offers transfer speeds up to 866Mbps. It also supports all previous Wi-Fi standards as well. Here are the complete supported Wi-Fi standards that Surface Pro 5 supports:
- Wi-Fi 1: IEEE 802.11b, released in 1999.
- Wi-Fi 2: IEEE 802.11a, released in 1999.
- Wi-Fi 3: IEEE 802.11g, released in 2003.
- Wi-Fi 4: IEEE 802.11n, released in 2009.
- Wi-Fi 5: IEEE 802.11ac, released in 2014.
No, it doesn’t! No Ethernet (RJ-45) port is available on Surface Pro (5th Gen). However, you can use a USB adapter, hub, or dock with an Ethernet port to connect to the Surface Pro 5 USB port, so you can plug in the network cable to connect to your local network. The USB-C 3.0 port has high bandwidth (up to 5 Gbps), so you can opt for a Gigabit Ethernet adapter for higher bandwidth without any issues.

Worst keyboard ever, wobbly and very noisy in an office, on my second one now. The surface regularly overheats and shuts down, ridiculous you cannot separate the keyboard to get the screen to higher level to stop neck ache, never get more than 2 hours out of the battery otherwise its fine.
I am having problems with my spouses Surface Pro 5 touch screen. Touch technology works on the main page. It does or work on the tab section. I must use the keyboard and the mouse pad to exit a tab, minimize the screen, or to increase or decrease the size of the window. The pen does not work in the tab section but does work elsewhere. Is there a fix?
