Microsoft announced the fifth-generation Surface Laptop on October 12, 2022, via a pre-recorded Microsoft hardware event. It is available in two sizes: 13.5-inch and 15-inch. The 13.5-inch model has a starting price of $999.99 and comes with Intel Core i5-1235U, 8GB of 5200MHz LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB of SSD. On the other hand, the base 15-inch model starts at $1,299.99 and comes with Intel Core i7-1255U, 8GB RAM, and 256GB SSD.
The new Surface Laptop 5 brings a new color to the lineup – Sage. It replaces the Ice Blue color of the Surface Laptop 4. The other colors available are Platinum, Black, and Sandstone. The Alcantara palm rest is only available on the 13.5-inch model with platinum color.
You can customize the laptop with up to Intel Core i7-1255U, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD. It is available for pre-order on October 12, 2022, and will be shipped on October 25.
