Can you replace the SSD on Microsoft Surface Laptop 5?

Technically Yes! all Surface Laptop 5 models including 13-inch and 15-inch models come with a replaceable M.2 2230 SSD. It allows you to easily swap or upgrade the SSD to a bigger and faster one in the future.

To remove or replace the SSD on Surface Laptop 5, do the following:

  1. Remove the laptop feet.
  2. Remove the screw under each laptop’s feet.
  3. Separate the keyboard from the base.
