Microsoft unveiled the Surface Pro 10 on March 21, 2024, through a press release on the Microsoft Blog. It is only available in the WiFi model, powered by Intel Core Ultra U-series processors, with the promise of a 5G model released later this year.
The Surface Pro 10 is the first Surface Pro for Business model optimized for AI with an integrated NPU and a new Copilot key that gives quick access to Microsoft Copilot and other Windows AI experiences.
It has a starting price of $1,199.99 for models with Intel® Core™ Ultra 5 135U, 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and 256GB of SSD, while the models with Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 165U starts at $1,699.99 with 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and 256GB of SSD.
You can configure the tablet with an Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 165U processor, 64GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD for $2,799.99. It is available for pre-order on March 21, 2024, and will be ready for shipment on April 19, 2024.
What’s new
Surface Pro 10 is another major upgrade over the Surface Pro 9 in terms of performance, camera, and display. It’s the first Intel-based Surface Pro optimized for AI with an integrated neural processing unit (NPU) dedicated to efficiently running machine learning algorithms such as Windows Studio Effects and Live Captions.
The Surface Pro 10 has made impressive improvements over its predecessor, the Surface Pro 9. According to Microsoft, the new Surface Pro 10 is 53% faster than the Surface Pro 9 based on the 3DMark TimeSpy benchmark measuring graphic performance. It has the latest Intel Core Ultra processors, Intel graphics, 64GB of 7476 MHz LPDDR5x memory, 1TB Gen4 SSD, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. It is also the first Intel-based Surface Pro to feature an integrated NPU.
