What’s new
Microsoft has recently launched the latest version of its Surface Laptop series – the Surface Laptop 3. It comes in two sizes: 13.5-inch and a new 15-inch, both featuring a stunning PixelSense display. The latest version has significantly improved performance, making it 2.3 times faster than its predecessor, the Surface Laptop 2.
The Surface Laptop 3 now includes a USB-C port, allowing charging, data transfer, and outputting up to two 4K@60Hz displays. It comes with 10th Gen Intel Ice Lake processors, Intel Iris Plus G7 graphics, 3733 MHz LPDDR4x, Wi-Fi6, and Bluetooth 5. Alternatively, you can choose the AMD Ryzen with Radeon RX Vega graphics, 2400 MHz DDR4, WiFi-5, and Bluetooth 5.
The laptop is available in four colors: Matte Black, Cobalt Blue, Platinum, and Sandstone. It also has a new keyboard finish in warm Alcantara and a fantastic new metal. The keyboard and trackpad have been improved, with the trackpad now 20% larger.
The laptop is also easier to repair, with a removable M.2 SSD that users can upgrade in the future. It has an upgraded Windows Hello infrared (IR) camera for faster login.
In addition, the laptop introduces many new features, including Fast Charging support, new dual far-field studio mics, and better OmniSonic speakers that offer better voice and video calling experiences.

According to Surface lifecycle documentation, Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 will reach the end of its driver and firmware updates on July 30, 2024. The company promises to support all Surface devices for at least four years starting from its release date.
