No, it doesn’t! Currently, all standard external graphics processing units use Thunderbolt 3 technology which has a bandwidth of 40Gbps to utilize max performance of graphics card. Unfortunately, Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 has only USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 that has a maximum bandwidth of 10Gbps only.

This is true for the 15 inch variant, but the 13 inch is still running Intel graphics. So doesn’t that mean it is also running thunderbolt 3 and then could work with an egpu? I am fairly certain the 13 inch with the intel processors (as of November 2020) can absolutely work with most egpu solutions.
