Surface Go 2 Firmware Updates

Microsoft has started rolling out new firmware updates for Surface Go 2. The following updates is available for all Surface Go 2 devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, Version 1803, or later.

The new firmware update will improve connection reliability. The update is listed as a “May 12 release” on the Surface Go 2 Update History page.

Getting the Updates via Windows Update

You can get this new Firmware Update via Windows Updates, as we detailed here:
On Windows 11:
  1. Go to Start > Settings (Win + I) Open Settings app on Windows 11
  2. Go to Windows Update and click on the Check for updates button Check for updates on Windows 11
On Windows 10:
  1. Go to Start > Settings > Update & security Windows 10 Settings > Update & Security
  2. From the Windows Update tab, click Check for updates Windows 10 - Check for updates
If your Surface Go 2 didn't receive the update, it should appear on the Windows Update list by now.
