Microsoft rolled out new firmware updates (November 09, 2018) for Surface Go

Microsoft is rolling out new firmware updates to Surface Go devices to 3.0.10.1 resolves intermittent pen top button click failure on Surface Pen with no clip, post Windows 10 October 2018 Update. Use the Surface Pen Checker Tool to verify that the Pen’s firmware was successfully updated.

Surface Go Firmware Updates

Microsoft has started rolling out new firmware updates for Surface Go. The new update is available for Surface Go devices on Windows 10 April 2018 Update, Version 1803, or later.

The new firmware update will 3.0.10.1 resolves intermittent pen top button click failure on Surface Pen with no clip, post Windows 10 October 2018 Update.

On Windows 11:
  1. Go to Start > Settings (Win + I) Open Settings app on Windows 11
  2. Go to Windows Update and click on the Check for updates button Check for updates on Windows 11
On Windows 10:
  1. Go to Start > Settings > Update & security Windows 10 Settings > Update & Security
  2. From the Windows Update tab, click Check for updates Windows 10 - Check for updates
