Surface Laptop Studio 2 Updates

Microsoft has started rolling out new firmware updates for Surface Laptop Studio 2. The latest update is available for Surface Laptop Studio 2 devices running Windows 10 September 2022 Update, Version 22H2, or later.

It’s the first firmware update that attempt to enhance an overall Surface Laptop Studio 2 experience. The update is listed as an “October 2 release” on the Surface Laptop Studio 2 Update History page.

Getting the Updates via Windows Update

The new Firmware Update can be obtained through Windows Updates with the following steps.

On Windows 11:

  1. Go to Start > Settings (Win + I)
    Open Settings app on Windows 11
  2. Go to Windows Update and click on the Check for updates button.

On Windows 10:

  1. Go to Start > Settings > Update & security.

  2. From the Windows Update tab, click Check for updates

If your Surface Laptop Studio 2 has not received the update yet, it should show up on the Windows Update list by now.
