During recent Microsoft Windows 10 event, Microsoft has revealed Surface Studio along with some Surface accessories. The Surface Dial is the most interesting and innovated device that can provide a new form of user input. This new accessory will work on Surface Studio, Surface Book, Surface Pro 4 and Surface Pro 3 with Windows 10 anniversary update. Surface Dial can be attached to the touchscreen of the Surface Studio to display a contextual radial menu allows you work faster and more precisely.

According to Vice President Terry Myerson (via The Verge), Microsoft is working on a firmware update to allows Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book to have the same Surface Dial experience as Surface Studio. There is no exact date on the firmware update, however, it likely to release by early next year.

For Surface Pro 3 users, currently, there is no clue that Surface Dial can work directly on the touchscreen of the device. If this experience available only on PixelSense touchscreen device, you might out of luck. The Surface Dial can be pre-ordered now with the price of $99.99 on the Microsoft Store.
