The 2018 Surface Laptop 2 features the 15W 8th Generation Intel Kaby Lake R quad-core Intel Core i5-8250U up to quad-core Intel Core i7-8650U with the boost speed up to 4.20 GHz. While the 2024 Surface Laptop 6 15” features the 28W Intel Meteor Lake H-Series 14-core Intel Core Ultra 5 135H up to 16-core Intel Core Ultra 7 165H with the boost speed up to 5.00 GHz.
