While the 2022 Surface Laptop 5 13.5” features the 15W 12th Generation Intel Alder Lake U 10-core Intel Core i5-1235U up to 10-core Intel Core i7-1265U with the boost speed up to 4.80 GHz.

What's new	More Powerful - All Laptop Go 3 comes with a 10-core 12 threads 13th Gen Intel Alder Lake Core i5-1235U processor and a faster dual-channel LPDDR5 memory. Better Battery Life - It can last up to 15 hours of typical device usage, 1.5 hours longer than the Laptop Go 2 and 2 hours longer than the Laptop Go 1.
What's missing	The base configuration for consumers starts at $799 instead of $599 Laptop Go 2 and $549 Laptop Go 1. No 128GB configuration for consumers. 128GB configuration for commercial uses slow UFS storage instead of SSD. Still have no backlit keyboard. No fingerprint login for the commercial entry model configuration with 128GB.
