The 2022 Surface Laptop 5 15” features the 15W 12th Generation Intel Alder Lake U 10-core Intel Core i7-1255U up to 10-core Intel Core i7-1265U with the boost speed up to 4.80 GHz. While the 2024 Surface Laptop 6 15” features the 28W Intel Meteor Lake H-Series 14-core Intel Core Ultra 5 135H up to 16-core Intel Core Ultra 7 165H with the boost speed up to 5.00 GHz.

Better specs—It features a more powerful Intel Core Ultra H-series instead of U-series processors, Intel Arc Graphics, 64GB of 7476 MT/s LPDDR5x memory, 1TB Gen4 SSD, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. Integrated NPU—An integrated Intel AI Boost processor offloads AI tasks efficiently, leaving thermal and power to run other critical tasks on CPU and GPU. Better serviceability—It's now easier to service and repair with built-in QR codes that provide convenient access to service guides, including internal markings that identify the number of screws and driver types needed for critical components. 2 x Thunderbolt 4 ports—The 15-inch model comes with additional Thunderbolt 4 port. More Upgraded 1080p Full HD camera. New dedicated Copilot key. It has a slightly improved display with an anti-reflective coating. It has a somewhat improved battery life from 18 to 18.5 hours.
What's missing		Thicker and heavier. It still has a sharp corner 60Hz display. 8GB models come with LPDDR5 RAM and don't support Intel Arc Graphics.
