The 2016 Surface Book i7 features the 15W 6th Generation Intel Skylake dual-core Intel Core i7-6600U with the boost speed up to 3.40 GHz. While the 2022 Surface Pro 9 features the 15W 12th Generation Intel Alder Lake U 10-core Intel Core i5-1235U up to 10-core Intel Core i7-1265U with the boost speed up to 4.80 GHz.
