Surface Pro 5 June 2021 update is now live

Microsoft is rolling out new firmware updates to Surface Pro 5 devices to improves system stability.

Microsoft has started rolling out new firmware updates for Surface Pro 5. The following updates are available for Surface Pro (5th Gen) devices running Windows 10 May 2019 Update, version 1903, or later.

The new firmware update will improves system stability. The update is listed as a “June 23 release” on the Surface Pro 5 Update History page.

Getting the Updates via Windows Update

You can get this new Firmware Update via Windows Updates, as we detailed here:
On Windows 11:
  1. Go to Start > Settings (Win + I) Open Settings app on Windows 11
  2. Go to Windows Update and click on the Check for updates button Check for updates on Windows 11
On Windows 10:
  1. Go to Start > Settings > Update & security Windows 10 Settings > Update & Security
  2. From the Windows Update tab, click Check for updates Windows 10 - Check for updates
